85 ”The Funeral of a Great Myth,” or Evolution and Hegelian Optimism

We examine C. S. Lewis's essay, "The Funeral of a Great Myth." I argue that Lewis was premature to announce this myth's death, and that what he calls the Myth is actually the Hegelian philosophical worldview that has come to dominate our culture.
