Book nine of Paradise Lost is the climactic moment in which The Fall occurs, and is thus arguably the most important book in the poem. I wish that I could say that between this episode of The Christian Atheist and Thursday's edition of No Compromise Jenny and I have done justice to this book, but it is immensely richer than our poor attempts to cover its brilliance.
